Naples is located in southwestern section of Florida, about 34 miles south of Fort Myers and the Southwest Florida International Airport. However, if you are flying in you might consider the Naples Municipal Airport right outside of town. Naples is a very relaxed community. You will see million dollar homes lining the shored and expensive cars driving along the streets. However, you will be quite surprised at the people who own these expensive trinkets. It is not uncommon to see townspeople dressed up in casual garb almost as if they were the tourists. As a result the atmosphere of Naples is very inviting and enjoyable. If you have time, make sure you get to go on a tour of Olde Naples and see some of the beautiful homes there. Most of your time in this town will be taken up by checking out its wonderful stores and boutiques. Window shopping is definitely a pastime here. The Naples Pier provides a good place for fishing and there are many golf courses in the area at which you can test your game. Day cruises leave the harbor for dolphin watching and sightseeing. If you enjoy tennis at all you will love playing on the clay courts of the Cambier Park Tennis Center, a municipal tennis facility. The city beach is right on the western edge of Olde Naples and is the best spot for enjoying a day in the sand and surf. The calm nature of this community and the beauty of its surroundings will make your vacation here one to remember.
